Nano Banana 2 Lite AI Image Generator
Nano Banana 2 Lite is the lower-cost Google still on ImgToVid: one image per run at 1K, on a standard set of ratios — square, story, widescreen, 21:9 — and an edit can take up to 14 references. It does not go to 2K or 4K, and it does not offer 1:8. Need those? Switch to 2, 2.1 or Pro from the family below.
01 — Capabilities
1K only, standard ratios, up to 14 references
Lite keeps the family prompt box. The ceiling is 1K, and the strip frames are off.

01
1K — no 2K, no 4K, no 0.5K draft
One resolution on the picker. One image per run, prompts up to 12,000 characters.

02
A standard set of frames
Auto, 1:1, 3:2, 2:3, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 5:4, 4:5 and 21:9. No 1:4, 4:1, 1:8 or 8:1.

03
Edits with up to 14 references
Hold a face, a product or a style in the same request. Text-only stills start from the prompt alone.

04
Not Pro’s 4K table, not a community art lab
Need 4K on standard ratios? That is Pro. Need a NightCafe daily challenge and a model picker? That desk is not this generator.
02 — Prompt to output
A prompt, then the still
Each still ships with the prompt that made it. Open one in Create and change it.
01 · PortraitPromptClose photographic portrait of a young man with curly hair wearing a grey knit sweater, soft window light, he glances aside and smiles warmly, shallow depth of field.
02 · ProductPromptA clean white leather sneaker on a pale grey seamless studio backdrop, soft diffused light, three-quarter view, crisp stitching, minimal commercial photograph.
03 · StreetPromptPhotographic view down a cobblestone lane in an old European village, climbing roses on stone walls, café tables in morning sun, a few people strolling in the distance.
04 · CharacterPromptPhotograph of a young woman with shoulder-length brown hair in an olive t-shirt, golden late-afternoon light, she turns her head and looks into the distance, breeze in her hair.
03 — Where it fits
Where a 1K standard-ratio still is enough
Drafts, social squares and edits that do not need 4K or a 1:8 strip.

Quick social stills
1:1 or 9:16 at 1K for a profile, a drop or a cover, with the subject placed so a caption can live in the corner.

Concept frames at 1K
A place that does not exist yet, specific enough to show a client before you spend a 2K or 4K run.

Edits that keep a face or product
Bring up to 14 references so the person or SKU stays put while the rest of the brief changes.

Jobs that should stay on Lite
If the brief needs 4K, 1:8 or a 0.5K draft, this is the wrong version — pick 2, 2.1 or Pro below.
