Adobe Firefly AI Video Generator

Adobe Firefly’s Video Model powers Generate Video on firefly.adobe.com. Official help lists clips up to 5 seconds, 540p / 720p / 1080p, 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, and 24 fps. You start from text, a still, or first and last frames, then set camera motion, angle, and shot size. ImgToVid does not run Firefly; the generator on this page drafts on Seedance 2.5.

01 — Capabilities

A 5-second Adobe clip, with camera menus

This page is Firefly video. Firefly stills are a different listing. Generate Video can also pick partner models such as Veo; the numbers below are the Firefly Video Model.

  1. 01

    Five seconds, up to 1080p

Adobe’s April 2025 Firefly blog and the Generate Video help pages state clips up to 5 seconds. Resolution options are 540p, 720p, and 1080p. Frames per second default to 24.

  2. 02

Three shapes, plus start and end frames

Aspect ratios on the help pages are Widescreen 16:9, Vertical 9:16, and Square 1:1. Image-to-video can take a first keyframe, and text-to-video can take start and end frames to steer the motion.

  3. 03

    Camera and style controls

Generate Video exposes motion, camera angle, and shot size. Style presets on the help pages include Cinematic, Anime, 3D, 2D, Stopmotion, and several others. Those menus are the product, not a hidden prompt trick.

  4. 04

    Trained to be commercially safe

Adobe’s public line is that Firefly Video is trained on licensed content — not on Adobe users’ files — the same commercial-safety claim as Firefly image and vector models. That is a licensing story, not a quality score.

02 — Prompt to output

Prompts that match the clips above

Each prompt describes the picture on its card. “Use this prompt” sends that text to Create. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5, not Adobe Firefly.

  • 01 · Portrait

PromptClose-up of a young man with curly hair in a grey knit sweater, soft window light. He glances away, then smiles. Slow push-in, shallow depth of field.

  • 02 · Product

PromptA white leather sneaker on a pale grey studio backdrop, soft diffused light. The camera orbits slowly. Stitching stays sharp, the look stays minimal.

  • 03 · Street

PromptA slow dolly down a cobblestone lane in an old European village. Climbing roses on stone walls, café tables in morning sun, a few people walking in the distance.

  • 04 · Character

PromptA young woman with shoulder-length brown hair in an olive t-shirt, late-afternoon gold light. She turns her head and looks off. Breeze in her hair, a handheld feel.

03 — Where it fits

Jobs a 5-second Firefly clip fits

Adobe’s own examples are b-roll, a new element inside an existing shot, or a short generated insert. A multi-scene edit is a different Firefly toolset.

  • B-roll you can drop on a timeline

B-roll you can drop on a timeline

Five seconds at 1080p and 24 fps is sized for a cut you will place, not for a finished film. Camera menus let you ask for a move instead of hoping the model invents one.

  • A still that has to travel between two frames

Upload a start image, or start and end frames, when the motion has to land on a known pose. Image-to-video inherits the still’s framing.

  • A look you can name from a preset

If the brief is anime, claymation, or black and white, Firefly’s style list is the documented control. You are not guessing a style token.

06 — How it works

Start a clip on ImgToVid

  1. Step 1

    Describe one shot

Subject, action, camera. Adobe Firefly will not be the model that runs it.

  2. Step 2

Use the generator on this page

It runs Seedance 2.5, because Firefly is not offered here. The prompt and the settings carry into Create.

  3. Step 3

    Generate in Create

Membership and credits are checked there. Coming back to this page does not switch the model over to Firefly.

07 — FAQ

Adobe Firefly, in plain terms

What is Adobe Firefly on this page?

This page covers Firefly video — the Firefly Video Model inside Generate Video on firefly.adobe.com. Firefly stills are listed separately. Official help: up to 5 seconds, 540p / 720p / 1080p, 16:9 / 9:16 / 1:1, 24 fps.

How long is a Firefly clip?

Adobe’s Generate Video docs and the April 2025 blog say up to 5 seconds for the Firefly Video Model. Partner models you can pick in the same UI keep their own lengths.

Is this Photoshop or Premiere?

No. Generate Video lives on Firefly’s site. Adobe talks about Creative Cloud handoff, but this page does not open those apps.

Does Firefly generate audio here?

Generate Video’s help pages do not list a native-audio switch on the Firefly Video Model. Adobe ships separate Firefly tools for translate, speech, music, and sound effects.

Can I generate Firefly videos on ImgToVid?

No. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5 so you can draft a shot. Firefly is marked coming soon.

Can I use the results commercially?

Commercial use of anything you generate on ImgToVid depends on your plan. Check Pricing and our Terms before you publish, and make sure prompts and uploads do not infringe someone else’s rights.

Adobe Firefly is not the button on this page

You can still draft the shot. The generator runs Seedance 2.5, and the prompt goes with you into Create.
