CapCut AI Video Generator
CapCut (capcut.com) is ByteDance’s edit-and-export studio — mobile, desktop, and browser — not a one-shot model. Official help (January 2026): Desktop can export 2K (2560×1440) or 4K (3840×2160) at up to 60 fps when the source and machine allow it. Online lists 1080p / 2K / 4K if the project was set that high. ImgToVid does not run CapCut; the generator on this page drafts on Seedance 2.5.
01 — Capabilities
A timeline studio, not an 8-second model
CapCut’s own help sells templates, a timeline, and a publish step. Export caps are project length, not a one-shot clip spec.
01
Edit on phone, desktop, or the web
Same brand, three clients. You import clips or start from a template, cut on a timeline, then export. That is an assembled project, not a single hosted-engine one-shot.
02
Desktop: 2K / 4K, up to 60 fps
Help: Windows and macOS export 2560×1440 or 3840×2160, frame rate up to 60 fps if the source supports it. Online shows 1080p, 2K, and 4K when the project resolution was set high enough. Mobile 4K depends on the device and the original media.
03
Free export vs Pro
Help (April 2026): Pro assets, some AI tools, and watermark-free exports can require CapCut Pro. On mobile, exporting longer than 15 minutes may prompt Pro — that limit varies by region. Do not read 15 minutes as one generated take.
04
Seedance inside CapCut is still CapCut’s editor
CapCut marketing (July 2026) hosts Seedance 2.5 in the editor: native 30-second 4K, beta Long Video to 180 seconds. That is CapCut’s generate-then-edit path. This site does not open that studio.
02 — Prompt to output
Prompts that match the clips above
Each prompt describes the picture on its card. “Use this prompt” sends that text to Create. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5, not CapCut.
- 01 · Portrait
PromptClose-up of a young man with curly hair in a grey knit sweater, soft window light. He glances away, then smiles. Slow push-in, shallow depth of field.
- 02 · Product
PromptA white leather sneaker on a pale grey studio backdrop, soft diffused light. The camera orbits slowly. Stitching stays sharp, the look stays minimal.
- 03 · Street
PromptA slow dolly down a cobblestone lane in an old European village. Climbing roses on stone walls, café tables in morning sun, a few people walking in the distance.
- 04 · Character
PromptA young woman with shoulder-length brown hair in an olive t-shirt, late-afternoon gold light. She turns her head and looks off. Breeze in her hair, a handheld feel.
03 — Where it fits
Jobs an edit-and-export studio is selling
Public pages point at social cuts, templates, and a branded export. They do not sell one CapCut-branded 8-second model.

A timeline you want to cut and export
Import clips or a template, edit, then export MP4. Desktop can go to 4K / 60 fps when the source allows it.

A square, vertical, or 16:9 social cut
CapCut pages list 1:1, 16:9, and 9:16, plus custom sizes on the web. Set the project ratio before you cut.

An AI clip you then finish in CapCut
Their Seedance 2.5 path is generate-then-edit inside that studio. This page’s draft is Seedance 2.5 on ImgToVid, not that editor.

Write the shot here. Seedance 2.5 carries the prompt into Create. Membership and credits are checked there.

05 — Side by side
CapCut, Veo 3.1 and Kling 4.0
CapCut is a timeline studio. Veo 3.1 and Kling 4.0 numbers below are from those vendors’ public docs — they are one-shot models, not project exports.
06 — How it works
Start a clip on ImgToVid
Step 1
Describe one shot
Subject, action, camera. CapCut will not be the model that runs it.
Step 2
Use the generator on this page
It runs Seedance 2.5, because CapCut is not offered here. The prompt and the settings carry into Create.
Step 3
Generate in Create
Membership and credits are checked there. Coming back to this page does not switch the model over to CapCut.
07 — FAQ
CapCut, in plain terms
What is CapCut?
CapCut is ByteDance’s edit-and-export studio at capcut.com — mobile, desktop, and browser. Templates, a timeline, effects, and export sit in the same app. It is not one first-party video model. ImgToVid does not host CapCut.
How long is a CapCut clip?
Help lists project export rules, not a one-shot: on mobile, exporting longer than 15 minutes may require Pro (varies by region). In-editor Seedance 2.5 is marketed at 30 seconds native, 180 seconds in beta Long Video. Do not treat those minutes as one generated take on this site.
Does CapCut generate audio?
Yes in the studio sense: timeline voice-over, music, and — when you use their Seedance path — generated stereo with the clip. That is assembled or in-editor audio, not a CapCut-branded one-shot soundtrack on ImgToVid.
What picture size can I export?
Desktop help: 2K (2560×1440) or 4K (3840×2160), up to 60 fps. Online: 1080p / 2K / 4K if the project was set that high. Mobile 4K is device- and source-dependent. Free 4K or no-watermark exports can require Pro.
Can I generate CapCut videos on ImgToVid?
No. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5 so you can draft a shot. CapCut is marked coming soon.
Can I use the results commercially?
Commercial use of anything you generate on ImgToVid depends on your plan. Check Pricing and our Terms before you publish, and make sure prompts and uploads do not infringe someone else’s rights.
CapCut is not the button on this page
You can still draft the shot. The generator runs Seedance 2.5, and the prompt goes with you into Create.
