Clipchamp AI Video Generator

Clipchamp is Microsoft’s browser and Windows timeline editor — not a one-shot model. Official support: finished projects export as MP4 at 30 fps. Resolutions listed are 480p, 720p, 1080p, and 4K (3840p). Free accounts stop at 1080p; 4K needs Microsoft 365 or Clipchamp Premium. ImgToVid does not run Clipchamp; the generator on this page drafts on Seedance 2.5.

01 — Capabilities

A Microsoft timeline, not an 8-second model

Microsoft Support sells import, cut, and an MP4 export. Length advice is about project performance, not a one-shot clip spec.

  1. 01

Edit in the browser or the Windows app

Personal and work/school versions. Import from the computer, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or Xbox. Cut on a timeline, then export. That is an assembled project, not one hosted-engine one-shot.

  2. 02

Export: MP4 at 30 fps, up to 4K

Support: 480p, 720p, 1080p, and 4K (3840p, listed at 70 Mbps on paid 4K). Free personal accounts can export 480p–1080p. 4K needs Microsoft 365 Personal/Family, Clipchamp Premium, or a work/education plan. GIF is listed for clips of 15 seconds or less.

  3. 03

No hard project cap — they recommend 10 minutes

Support: there is no enforced maximum project length. They recommend 10 minutes or less for reliable export. Webcam and screen recordings in the editor are listed at 30 minutes. Those are project and session rules, not one generated take.

  4. 04

Audio-only export is still Clipchamp’s editor

Support also lists an audio-only M4A export when the project is sound-only or you only want the mix. That is a timeline export. This site does not open that studio.

02 — Prompt to output

Prompts that match the clips above

Each prompt describes the picture on its card. “Use this prompt” sends that text to Create. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5, not Clipchamp.

  • 01 · Portrait

PromptClose-up of a young man with curly hair in a grey knit sweater, soft window light. He glances away, then smiles. Slow push-in, shallow depth of field.

  • 02 · Product

PromptA white leather sneaker on a pale grey studio backdrop, soft diffused light. The camera orbits slowly. Stitching stays sharp, the look stays minimal.

  • 03 · Street

PromptA slow dolly down a cobblestone lane in an old European village. Climbing roses on stone walls, café tables in morning sun, a few people walking in the distance.

  • 04 · Character

PromptA young woman with shoulder-length brown hair in an olive t-shirt, late-afternoon gold light. She turns her head and looks off. Breeze in her hair, a handheld feel.

03 — Where it fits

Jobs a Microsoft editor is selling

Public pages point at social cuts, school or work projects, and an MP4 export. They do not sell one Clipchamp-branded 8-second model.

  • A timeline you want to cut and export as MP4

A timeline you want to cut and export as MP4

Import clips, edit, export at 30 fps. Free can go to 1080p. Paid 4K is listed when the plan allows it.

  • A webcam or screen recording to trim

A webcam or screen recording to trim

Support lists those recordings at 30 minutes in the editor. Then you cut them on the same timeline.

  • A 15-second GIF or an audio-only mix

    A 15-second GIF or an audio-only mix

GIF is listed for 15 seconds or less. M4A is the audio-only export. Neither is a one-shot generate on this site.

06 — How it works

Start a clip on ImgToVid

  1. Step 1

    Describe one shot

Subject, action, camera. Clipchamp will not be the model that runs it.

  2. Step 2

Use the generator on this page

It runs Seedance 2.5, because Clipchamp is not offered here. The prompt and the settings carry into Create.

  3. Step 3

    Generate in Create

Membership and credits are checked there. Coming back to this page does not switch the model over to Clipchamp.

07 — FAQ

Clipchamp, in plain terms

What is Clipchamp?

Clipchamp is Microsoft’s browser and Windows video editor. You import clips, cut on a timeline, and export MP4 at 30 fps. It is not one first-party video model. ImgToVid does not host Clipchamp.

How long is a Clipchamp clip?

Support says there is no enforced maximum. They recommend 10 minutes or less for reliable export. Webcam and screen recordings are listed at 30 minutes. GIF export is 15 seconds or less. Do not treat those minutes as one generated take on this site.

Does Clipchamp generate audio?

Yes in the studio sense: timeline voice-over, music, and an audio-only M4A export. That is assembled audio, not a Clipchamp-branded one-shot soundtrack on ImgToVid.

What picture size can I export?

Support: 480p, 720p, 1080p, and 4K (3840p). Free personal accounts can export through 1080p. 4K needs Microsoft 365 Personal/Family, Clipchamp Premium, or a work/education plan. Frame rate on the MP4 is listed at 30 fps.

Can I generate Clipchamp videos on ImgToVid?

No. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5 so you can draft a shot. Clipchamp is marked coming soon.

Can I use the results commercially?

Commercial use of anything you generate on ImgToVid depends on your plan. Check Pricing and our Terms before you publish, and make sure prompts and uploads do not infringe someone else’s rights.

Clipchamp is not the button on this page

You can still draft the shot. The generator runs Seedance 2.5, and the prompt goes with you into Create.
