Pika AI Video Generator

Pika is Pika Labs’ video family. Pika 2.5 is the current flagship: text-to-video at 5 seconds, image-to-video at 5 or 10, 720p or 1080p. Frames takes two to five ordered stills. Renders come back silent. The limits below are from Pika’s 2.5 product page.

01 — Capabilities

Five seconds from a prompt, or a string of stills

Pika 2.5 splits Omni (one shot) from Frames (a sequence). Audio is a separate product. Do not read Pika 2.2’s older FAQ onto 2.5.

  1. 01

5 seconds from text; 5 or 10 from a still

A prompt alone is 5 seconds. Attach a reference image and you can pick 5 or 10. That is the Omni path. There is no 15-second or 30-second generate on 2.5.

  2. 02

720p or 1080p, with one Frames exception

Pika’s 2.5 page lists 720p and 1080p on every way in. A five-keyframe sequence is the exception: those four transitions render at 720p.

  3. 03

Frames: two to five ordered stills

Each consecutive pair becomes a transition. You set 1–5 seconds per transition, or 10 seconds if you use exactly two frames. One prompt can guide all of them. The still can carry the subject, so the prompt only has to say what moves.

  4. 04

    No soundtrack on the render

Pika 2.5 comes back silent. Score it later with Pika Soundtrack if you want audio. Treat the clip as picture unless you add sound somewhere else.

02 — Prompt to output

Prompts that match the clips above

Each prompt describes the picture on its card. “Use this prompt” sends that text to Create. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5, not Pika.

  • 01 · Portrait

PromptClose-up of a young man with curly hair in a grey knit sweater, soft window light. He glances away, then smiles. Slow push-in, shallow depth of field.

  • 02 · Product

PromptA white leather sneaker on a pale grey studio backdrop, soft diffused light. The camera orbits slowly. Stitching stays sharp, the look stays minimal.

  • 03 · Street

PromptA slow dolly down a cobblestone lane in an old European village. Climbing roses on stone walls, café tables in morning sun, a few people walking in the distance.

  • 04 · Character

PromptA young woman with shoulder-length brown hair in an olive t-shirt, late-afternoon gold light. She turns her head and looks off. Breeze in her hair, a handheld feel.

03 — Where it fits

Jobs that fit 5 seconds, 10 seconds, or a keyframe string

Omni if you have a prompt or one still. Frames if the poses are already drawn in order. Neither path makes audio.

  • A text-only idea

    A text-only idea

That is a 5-second Omni job. Do not plan a 10-second text-only pipeline on 2.5 — the extra length is image-to-video.

  • Animate a photo you already have

Animate a photo you already have

Image-to-video takes one still. Five or ten seconds, up to 1080p. The prompt only has to say what moves.

  • A short sequence of poses

    A short sequence of poses

Frames is two to five stills in order. Each pair is a transition. Use it when the beats are already decided, not when you only have a sentence.

  • Picture first, score later

    Picture first, score later

The render is silent. If the job needs dialogue in the same pass, Pika 2.5 is the wrong door.

04 — Verdict

What Pika’s 2.5 page actually lists

Strengths

  • Text-to-video at 5 seconds; image-to-video at 5 or 10
  • 720p or 1080p on Omni
  • Frames: 2–5 ordered keyframes with a set transition length
  • Prompt optional once a still carries the subject

Trade-offs

  • Renders have no native audio
  • Text-only is 5 seconds; 10 seconds needs a still
  • A five-keyframe sequence renders at 720p
  • Pika is not available on ImgToVid

05 — Side by side

Pika 2.5, Veo 3.1 and Kling 4.0

Length, audio and whether you start from text or stills are where these three stop lining up. Do not mix Pika 2.2’s older 25-second Frames claim into 2.5.

06 — How it works

Start a clip on ImgToVid

  1. Step 1

    Describe one shot

Subject, action, camera. If you wanted Pika’s 5-second text route or a 2–5 still sequence, say that in the prompt. Pika will not be the model that runs it.

  2. Step 2

Use the generator on this page

It runs Seedance 2.5, because Pika is not offered here. The prompt and the settings carry into Create.

  3. Step 3

    Generate in Create

Membership and credits are checked there. Coming back to this page does not switch the model over to Pika.

07 — FAQ

Pika, in plain terms

What is Pika?

Pika is Pika Labs’ video family. The current flagship is Pika 2.5 (text-to-video, image-to-video and Frames). Older ids include Pika 2.2, Pika 2.1 and Pikaffects. Soundtrack, speech and SFX are separate Pika products.

How long is a Pika 2.5 clip?

5 seconds from a prompt alone. 5 or 10 seconds from a still. In Frames you set 1–5 seconds per transition, or 10 seconds with exactly two keyframes.

Does Pika 2.5 generate audio?

No. Renders come back silent. Pika Soundtrack is a separate step if you want a score.

Omni or Frames?

Omni is one shot: a prompt, optionally with one still. Frames is a sequence: two to five ordered stills, with motion between each pair.

Can I generate Pika videos on ImgToVid?

No. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5 so you can draft a shot. Pika itself is marked coming soon.

Can I use the results commercially?

Commercial use of anything you generate on ImgToVid depends on your plan. Check Pricing and our Terms before you publish, and make sure prompts and uploads do not infringe someone else’s rights.

Pika is not the button on this page

You can still draft the shot. The generator runs Seedance 2.5, and the prompt goes with you into Create.
