VideoGen Script Desk, clip to 30s
VideoGen (videogen.io) is a script-to-video desk with an editor — not an Open-Sora one-shot studio and not a whiteboard explainer. Public pages: a prompt, script or article becomes a multi-scene video with TTS, subtitles, b-roll and music. Hosted engines include Sora, Veo, Kling, Seedance, Wan, Hailuo and PixVerse — those lengths follow the SKU. Standalone clip API: durationSeconds 1 to 30; aspect defaults to 16:9. Project export: 16:9 / 9:16 / 1:1; MP4 at 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K — 4K is an export row, not a first-party VideoGen 4 / 6 / 8 second cinematic picker of this site’s. Skip dollar prices and credit counts. ImgToVid does not run VideoGen; the generator on this page drafts on Seedance 2.5.
01 — Capabilities
A multi-scene script desk, not an Open-Sora 20s shot or a whiteboard
Public VideoGen pages sell a script that becomes an editable video. They do not sell Video Ocean’s 20-second Open-Sora continuation, or VideoScribe’s hand-drawn timeline.
01
Prompt, script or article → scenes, TTS, captions, b-roll
That MP4 stays on videogen.io.
02
Standalone clip API listed 1–30s; aspect 16:9 default
Longer videos are multi-scene. This page does not open that editor.
03
Hosts Sora / Veo / Kling / Seedance — those still follow the SKU
Not this site’s VideoGen generate table.
04
Not Video Ocean’s 20s Open-Sora, not VideoScribe’s 1080p whiteboard
Video Ocean is an Open-Sora generate desk. VideoScribe draws explainers. VideoGen is the script desk. This site does not open VideoGen.
02 — Prompt to output
Prompts that match the clips above
Each prompt describes the picture on its card. “Use this prompt” sends that text to Create. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5, not VideoGen.
- 01 · Portrait
PromptClose-up of a young man with curly hair in a grey knit sweater, soft window light. He glances away, then smiles. Slow push-in, shallow depth of field.
- 02 · Product
PromptA white leather sneaker on a pale grey studio backdrop, soft diffused light. The camera orbits slowly. Stitching stays sharp, the look stays minimal.
- 03 · Street
PromptA slow dolly down a cobblestone lane in an old European village. Climbing roses on stone walls, café tables in morning sun, a few people walking in the distance.
- 04 · Character
PromptA young woman with shoulder-length brown hair in an olive t-shirt, late-afternoon gold light. She turns her head and looks off. Breeze in her hair, a handheld feel.
03 — Where it fits
Jobs a script-to-video desk is selling
Public pages point at a script that becomes a faceless YouTube or Short. They do not sell a Video Ocean 20s continuation or a VideoScribe whiteboard.

A 1–30s clip from a prompt, or a multi-scene video from a script
Clip length is the API row; the project follows the script. This page does not open that job.

Export 9:16 / 1:1 / 16:9 at 480p–4K
Delivery stays on VideoGen. 4K is the export, not a native 4/6/8s picker.

A 20s Open-Sora continuation, or a 5–20 min whiteboard explainer
That is Video Ocean or VideoScribe. VideoGen is the script desk.

Write the shot here. Seedance 2.5 carries the prompt into Create. Membership and credits are checked there.
04 — Verdict
What VideoGen actually is
Strengths
- videogen.io: script/article to a multi-scene video with TTS and captions
- Clip API listed 1–30 seconds; project length follows the script
- Honest that Sora / Veo / Kling / Seedance rows are hosted SKUs
- Honest that 4K is editor export, not a VideoGen 4/6/8s picker here
Trade-offs
- No first-party VideoGen 4 / 6 / 8 second cinematic picker — a clip is 1–30s; longer videos are multi-scene
- A VideoGen job on videogen.io is not this site’s generate table
- VideoGen is not available on ImgToVid
- Marked coming soon on this site
05 — Side by side
VideoGen, Veo 3.1 and Kling 4.0
VideoGen is a script-to-video desk. Veo 3.1 and Kling 4.0 numbers below are from those vendors’ public docs. A 30-second clip or a long-form export is not a VideoGen generate row on ImgToVid.
06 — How it works
Start a clip on ImgToVid
Step 1
Describe one shot
Subject, action, camera. VideoGen will not be the model that runs it.
Step 2
Use the generator on this page
It runs Seedance 2.5, because VideoGen is not offered here. The prompt and the settings carry into Create.
Step 3
Generate in Create
Membership and credits are checked there. Coming back to this page does not switch the model over to VideoGen.
07 — FAQ
VideoGen, in plain terms
What is VideoGen?
VideoGen is a script-to-video desk: a prompt or article becomes a multi-scene video with voice-over and captions, using hosted engines. ImgToVid does not host VideoGen.
How long is a VideoGen clip?
The clip API lists 1–30 seconds. A full project follows the script across scenes. That is not a VideoGen 4 / 6 / 8 second cinematic picker here.
Does VideoGen generate video from text?
Yes — a prompt, a script or an article. Hosted Sora / Veo / Kling rows are still hosted SKUs. That is videogen.io, not a cinematic one-shot on ImgToVid.
What picture size can I use?
Projects list 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. Export lists 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K. This site does not open that editor.
Can I generate VideoGen videos on ImgToVid?
No. The generator on this page runs Seedance 2.5 so you can draft a shot. VideoGen is marked coming soon.
Can I use the results commercially?
Commercial use of anything you generate on ImgToVid depends on your plan. Check Pricing and our Terms before you publish, and make sure prompts and uploads do not infringe someone else’s rights.
VideoGen is not the button on this page
You can still draft the shot. The generator runs Seedance 2.5, and the prompt goes with you into Create.
