Nano Banana 2 AI Image Generator
Google’s Nano Banana 2 turns a specific brief into a finished still: the objects you name, the light you ask for, and the frame you pick. Start from text, or bring up to 14 references when you are editing.
01 — Capabilities
A brief it can actually hold
Nano Banana 2 is built for instructions with several parts — objects, materials, light and frame — and for edits that have to stay faithful to what you upload.

01
Every object you name
A cup, a fig, a spoon, a lemon: list them and they stay separate instead of melting into one still-life. Long prompts are read through, up to 12,000 characters.

02
A person you can specify
Hair, coat, place and lens can all sit in the same sentence. When you are editing, add up to 14 reference images so a face, product or style stays put.

03
A frame for the shot, not a default
Square, story, widescreen or a strip. Ratios run from 1:1 and 16:9 through 21:9, and out to 1:4, 4:1, 1:8 and 8:1, or auto to follow a source image.

04
Photo, or something you can touch
Photoreal light and materials, or a built surface like clay. Resolution steps from a 0.5K draft to 1K, 2K and 4K when the still has to hold up large.
02 — Prompt to output
A prompt, then the still
Each still ships with the prompt that made it. Open one in Create and change it.
01 · PortraitPromptClose photographic portrait of a young man with curly hair wearing a grey knit sweater, soft window light, he glances aside and smiles warmly, shallow depth of field.
02 · ProductPromptA clean white leather sneaker on a pale grey seamless studio backdrop, soft diffused light, three-quarter view, crisp stitching, minimal commercial photograph.
03 · StreetPromptPhotographic view down a cobblestone lane in an old European village, climbing roses on stone walls, café tables in morning sun, a few people strolling in the distance.
04 · CharacterPromptPhotograph of a young woman with shoulder-length brown hair in an olive t-shirt, golden late-afternoon light, she turns her head and looks into the distance, breeze in her hair.
03 — Where it fits
Where a still has to be specific
Work that starts from a brief — a product, a person, a place — rather than a vague mood.

Campaign stills
Hero product frames with room for a headline. One clean object, controlled light, empty space where type will sit.

Social portraits
Vertical frames for a profile, a drop or a cover, with the subject placed so a caption can live in the corner.

Concept frames
A place that does not exist yet, specific enough to show a client before anyone builds it.

Brand spaces
Interiors and sets where materials, light and emptiness matter as much as the object in the room.
04 — Verdict
What Nano Banana 2 is good at
Strengths

- Frames from standard ratios out to 1:8 and 8:1, plus auto
- Output from a 0.5K draft up to 4K
