D-ID AI Video Generator

D-ID (d-id.com) is a talking-avatar studio. Official FAQ: Creative Reality™ Studio turns a presenter photo, a library avatar, or a generated face into an MP4 that speaks a typed script or an uploaded track. Output is capped at 5 minutes. Standard presenters are listed at up to 1280×1280; HQ presenters at 1080p on Trial, Pro, Advanced, and Enterprise. ImgToVid does not run D-ID. The generator on this page opens Talking Avatar — OmniHuman 1.5: one still plus a voice track, at least 3 seconds.

01 — Capabilities

A talking photo, not an 8-second text model

Public D-ID pages sell face animation. Length and picture numbers are studio rules. The live button here is a different talking-still job.

  1. 01

Photo, library avatar, or a generated face

FAQ: pick a presenter, upload JPEG/PNG (10 MB, face at least 200×200), or generate a face. Canvas can be wide, square, or vertical. The mouth is driven by a script, an upload, or a clone — not by a blank text-to-video prompt.

  2. 02

Five minutes, then the studio stops

FAQ: Creative Reality Studio and the API cap output at 5 minutes. Audio uploads are 10 MB and the same 5-minute ceiling, in MP3, FLAC, M4A, MP4, or WAV. One credit is listed as up to 15 seconds of video.

  3. 03

    1280×1280, or 1080p on HQ

Standard AI Presenter: up to 1280×1280 on all plans. Premium HQ: 1080p on Trial, Pro, Advanced, and Enterprise — not on Lite. Output is MP4. Watermark stays; Enterprise can customize it, not remove it.

  4. 04

    This page runs Talking Avatar

OmniHuman 1.5 takes a first-frame photo and a voice track. Length follows the audio, at least 3 seconds. Credits are 20 per second of audio. It does not open D-ID’s studio, and it does not take a typed D-ID script.

02 — Prompt to output

Prompts that match the clips above

Each prompt describes the picture on its card. “Use this prompt” still goes to Create. Talking Avatar needs a still and audio; it does not read this prompt as OmniHuman input.

  • 01 · Portrait

PromptClose-up of a young man with curly hair in a grey knit sweater, soft window light. He glances away, then smiles. Slow push-in, shallow depth of field.

  • 02 · Product

PromptA white leather sneaker on a pale grey studio backdrop, soft diffused light. The camera orbits slowly. Stitching stays sharp, the look stays minimal.

  • 03 · Street

PromptA slow dolly down a cobblestone lane in an old European village. Climbing roses on stone walls, café tables in morning sun, a few people walking in the distance.

  • 04 · Character

PromptA young woman with shoulder-length brown hair in an olive t-shirt, late-afternoon gold light. She turns her head and looks off. Breeze in her hair, a handheld feel.

03 — Where it fits

Jobs a talking-photo studio is selling

Public D-ID copy points at a face that should speak. This page’s live path is also a still that should speak — on a different engine.

  • A headshot that should read a script

A headshot that should read a script

That is the Creative Reality job: presenter plus typed lines or an upload, up to 5 minutes, in 119 languages. ImgToVid does not run that studio.

  • A portrait that has to talk here

A portrait that has to talk here

Use Talking Avatar on this page. Upload the photo and a line of at least 3 seconds. The mouth follows the track.

  • A live agent or a translated clip

A live agent or a translated clip

D-ID also sells Agents (chat over uploaded docs) and Video Translate (10 seconds to 5 minutes, 2 GB max). Those products stay on d-id.com.

  • A prompt-only shot

    A prompt-only shot

D-ID and Talking Avatar both need a face. Write the shot on Seedance if you only have a sentence.

04 — Verdict

What D-ID actually is

Strengths

  • Official: photo + script or audio, MP4 up to 5 min
  • Standard up to 1280×1280; HQ 1080p

  • Credits on the live path scale with audio length

06 — How it works

Start a talking still on ImgToVid

  1. Step 1

    Accept Talking Avatar

D-ID will not be the model that runs. The generator starts on OmniHuman 1.5.

  2. Step 2

Add a still and a voice track

Photo first, audio at least 3 seconds. A prompt alone will not start this series.

  3. Step 3

    Generate in Create

Membership and credits are checked there. Coming back here does not switch the run over to D-ID’s studio.

07 — Versions

The series this page actually opens

One Create series. The directory name is D-ID; the run is Talking Avatar.

08 — FAQ

D-ID, in plain terms

What is D-ID?

D-ID is a talking-avatar company. Creative Reality™ Studio on d-id.com animates a presenter photo to a typed script or an uploaded track, as MP4, up to 5 minutes. The same site also sells Agents, Video Translate, and an API. ImgToVid does not host D-ID.

Can I generate D-ID on ImgToVid?

No. The generator on this page runs Talking Avatar (OmniHuman 1.5) so you can animate a still to audio. You need a photo and a voice track of at least 3 seconds.

How long is a D-ID clip?

D-ID’s FAQ caps Creative Reality Studio and the API at 5 minutes. Audio uploads share that ceiling. On this page, Talking Avatar length follows your audio and starts at 3 seconds.

Does it generate audio?

On D-ID: type a script (text-to-speech), upload a recording, or clone a voice on listed plans. Studio FAQ cites 119 languages. Talking Avatar on this page does not invent audio — you upload the track.

What picture size can I export?

D-ID FAQ: standard presenters up to 1280×1280; HQ presenters 1080p except on Lite. Canvas: wide, square, or vertical. Talking Avatar on this page does not publish a D-ID pixel ladder.

Can I use the results commercially?

Commercial use of anything you generate on ImgToVid depends on your plan. Check Pricing and our Terms before you publish, and make sure prompts and uploads do not infringe someone else’s rights.
